In response to the national strategy of “balancing oil and electricity development while transforming into a comprehensive energy service provider,” PetroChina planned to pilot intelligent EV charging services at several key gas stations across its network.
However, many of these stations were built years ago and have limited available space, making the civil construction required for installing additional fixed charging piles both difficult and time-consuming. To address this challenge, our company proposed a flexible power replenishment solution — the Mobile Charging Robot.
During the project evaluation phase, the robot’s high mobility and infrastructure-free deployment capabilities were highly recognized by the client. Through a three-month on-site deployment at pilot gas stations, the robots successfully provided charging buffer services for vehicles during peak hours, effectively easing charging queues and optimizing vehicle flow.
The robots were able to move freely within the station, avoiding situations where EV charging spots were occupied by fuel vehicles. Following the successful pilot program, PetroChina recently signed a procurement agreement with our company for the deployment of mobile charging robots.
The robots can be put into operation immediately after arrival, significantly shortening the time required for gas stations to upgrade their EV charging services.
Charging services are no longer limited to fixed locations. The system transforms the traditional model from “vehicles looking for chargers” to “chargers coming to vehicles,” improving operational efficiency per unit area of the gas station.
Users can place charging orders through a mini-program with one click, enabling the robot to deliver charging services directly to the vehicle, providing a smooth and convenient user experience.
With an IP54 protection rating, the robots can adapt to complex outdoor environments at gas stations. The built-in safety protection system is fully compliant with gas station safety management standards.
